Every year IsI organizes a Security Awareness Conference for our clients in the Fall. Our Conference focuses on small businesses that we support, which consist mostly of company sized between 2 and 500 employees.

THURSDAY, 26 SEPTEMBER 2019 AT THE HYATT REGENCY TYSONS CORNER CENTER, VIRGINIA

Our goal at this Security Conference is to provide guidance, assistance, and support that will help create an environment that facilitates small businesses to contribute innovation and efficiency to support the mission of DSS/DCSA. The objective is to educate about existing and approaching principles, concepts, and facts that will assist attendees to develop strategies to implement within their Company.

The area’s we feel are imminent include transferring the responsibility for Background Investigations (NBIB) to DSS/DCSA, developing a Tailored Security Plan (TSP), the Asset Threat Matrix, NIST 800-171, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC),Facility Clearance Branch (FCB) processes, and the main hold points in the process that add time of processing of Personnel Clearances (PCL) for Key Management Personnel (KMP) and mitigations for businesses with Foreign Ownership or Controlling Interest (FOCI).

One of the greatest advantages to the Government with our Conference is that we consolidate all our Clients to a single location for a briefing rather than draining resources by having individual briefings at each company location.

Highly respected security experts from Industry and Government will present comprehensive security awareness information that you will be able to take with you and implement at your facility.

Facility Clearance Branch (FCB): FCB processes, and the main hold points in the process that add time of processing.

NIST 800-171/CMMC: New contractor cybersecurity standards known as the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) that are scheduled to be implemented by January 2020.

Industrial Security Changes: Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) – formally Defense Security Service (DSS) – will subsume the National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB) and will serve as the governmentwide security clearance provider.

It is our vision to inform, entertain, and provide a networking forum for our clients and we hope that you can attend!
