Most of you think cornhole is a game played at college and NFL tailgates but this is a game that has been around for over 100 years. Some of you may know this game under a different moniker: Bean Bag Toss, Bean Bag, Sack Toss, Baggo, Corn Toss, and Indiana horseshoes. These days, the game is passionately referred to as cornhole.

The origins of the game can be traced back to Germany in the 14th century. It’s a fun and easy game to play. cornhole is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes instead of sand pits and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Players take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a player reaches the score of 21. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. Its that simple. Most people have played this game sometime in their lives.

Whether you are a seasoned cornhole player or an aspiring beginner, you should sign-up & participate at the Greater Reston Chamber’s Flavors of Fall Festival Cornhole Experience.
