Restaurant Business came out with their ranking of top 100 independent restaurants of 2016 based on total food and beverage revenues. Some local area restaurants were featured in their rankings.

#5 Old Ebbitt Grill – Washington, DC – $30,568,157

#10 Joe’s Seafood – Washington, DC – Prime Steak & Stone Crab – $23,600,000

#22 The Hamilton – Washington, DC – $19,314,488

#47 Le Diplomate – Washington, DC – $16,256,705

#60 Sequoia – Washington, DC – $15,550,000

#81 The Source – Washington, DC – $14,000,000

#86 MIke’s American – Springfield, VA – $13,650,000

In case you are wondering who took the top spot, Tao Vegas with $47,941,106 in food & beverage revenue for 2016. Local favorite Mike’s American held the #62 spot in 2014 with $12,880,000 in revenue but dropped to #86 in 2016.
